HTC Camera app with EYE Camera experience now on Google Play


HTC Camera is the company's latest app to move to Google Play, becoming easier to update on Sense 6 devices without requiring a firmware upgrade.
The HTC EYE camera experience was first revealed on the Desire EYE, and includes shooting modes like Split Capture, for taking front and rear images simultaneously, and Crop Me In, which attempts to place you into a photo from the rear camera.
HTC has moved many of its core apps over to Google Play since the launch of the One M8, with recent additions including HTC Weather, HTC Lock Screen and HTC Scribble.

BlackPods: Apple's New Black AirPods

BlackPods (apparently both the name of the company and the end product) will take your ordinary shiny white AirPods, subject them to a 'three-phase approach' that yields a 'luxurious scratch-resistant finish', all for the nominal fee of $99. Alternatively, you can buy the AirPods straight from BlackPods and get the BlackPods for $249 - sounds like $9 worth of savings. That is, if you don't already own a pair. At $159, Apple's AirPods aren't exactly cheap, yet they're quite the bargain when you consider the wireless earbuds options. EVO 4G gets Gingerbread update, breaks Netflix support

Sprint recently announced that they will be updating their first 4G handset, the HTC EVO 4G, to the latest version of Android this Friday and just as they promised the update is now available to download to anyone who’s willing to manually check. According to the official changelog, the 2.3 update brings with it some bug fixes to the Gmail and messaging application along with the usual Gingerbread goodness. However, we are also hearing reports of compatibility issues with the Netflix application after updating. Netflix has  acknowledged  this issues and is currently investigating it. So if Netflix playback is important to you, you might want to hold on to the update till the official fix comes out.
